Cover and select pages from 30 page book
This was the first book I've ever designed.
Assignment: To create a 30 page book with a cover and a table of contents. Each page was a part of a section that had specific guidelines such as; certain amount of colors, fonts, guides or no guides, images or no images.. etc. The first one is my cover page and the rest were some of my favorites out of the 30.
Class: Graphic Design 2
Inspiration/ideas: Every page had to be different, so there were many pictures, photographers, graphic designers and different layouts of magazines or books that inspired my ideas. The last page was my inspiration for the design of my book below.
6 Page Book
This was the second book I've ever designed.
Assignment: To create a 6 page book; a cover page, 2 spreads and a back cover using similar types of elements such as usage of graphics, lines and color throughout the composition.
Class: Graphic Design 2
Inspiration/ideas: My inspiration came from a single page layout from the 30 page book we designed in class for the previous project. I liked the usage of the large image and the color of it being black and white with one object having color. I also liked the color pallet and the use of the bar for the title.
Magazine Page
This magazine page was done more recently, which is why it looks a lot better than the other layouts.
Assignment: To create a magazine page with place holder text.
Class: Graphic Design 1
Inspiration/ideas: The Cosmopolitan magazine inspired me with this design. I also just took colors from the image of the girl and used them through the page.
Magazine Cover with two full layout pages
This was one of my first designs! Before I really knew too much about design.
Assignment: To create a travel magazine cover, and 2 two page layouts with placeholder text and pictures.
Class: Digital Image and Page Layout
Inspiration/ideas: I hadn't researched too much to have any specific inspiration for this cover, however my theme was Under Sea.
Snowboard Designs
Assignment: To create 3 separate snowboard designs with a top and a base for each that go together.
Class: Digital Image and Page Layout
Inspiration/ideas: For the Hibiscus one I just used my favorite flower and the brand Roxy was some what my inspiration. The anchor one I thought would be cool and I just used colors that I thought worked well with the idea. The Sun and Moon one was completely off the top of my head with a color palette that I felt looked nice.
